Inspiration 8 updates the visual learning program launched nearly 10 years ago for grades 6-12 with new and improved capabilities designed to help students visualize, think, organize, and learn.

The new edition includes expanded visual capabilities, increased support for writing, and a variety of curriculum resources. The program also updates existing features such as the RapidFire tool for quick brainstorming, the template wizard for creating custom templates, and the Site Skeleton export feature for fast Web site creation.

The new Inspiration offers more ways to learn visually. A keyword search helps users find symbols to better express ideas and represent concepts. More than 1,000 symbols are provided; more than 1 million additional symbols can be accessed through the program's Web resources. Video and sound integration features allow users to insert and play QuickTime movies, MP3 files, and other multimedia directly into the program.

Additional new program capabilities help students and teachers to jump-start assignments, gather research, and streamline projects with curriculum templates, dragand-drop actions, and enhanced transfer and export tools. Students are encouraged to write with more clarity and accuracy with the Word Guide dictionary/thesaurus and an automatic spell checker. …
