Midnight basketball has taken thousands of youth off the streets and put them into healthy and productive environments. The result...fewer kids getting into trouble. Mike Williams is planning on a college education following high school graduation.

Since Union Pacific started an on-thejob exercise program, it has been reported that 80% of participating employees have increased their productivity.

A unique intergenerational program, where seniors help youth, has led to enriched lives for both groups and new respect and friendships for all.

The benefits are endless. You and I know it, but it is time to spread the word to our citizens, legislators, elected leaders, and all of those around us. Each of us must step forward to meet the challenge of telling our story. NRPA is leading the way with its outstanding training program, Parks and Recreation... The Benefits are Endless. The goal is to have park and recreation viewed as an ESSENTIAL service and one that is worthy of proper financial support.
