Elsevier Science, Secondary Publishing Division, has announced the introduction of Turnkey EMSCOPES, which enables users to receive their customized EMBASE updates subscription bundled with industry-standard bibliographic management software-currently available with ProCite or Reference Manager. Users can now load, manage, search, distribute, and print references from EMBASE, provided through EMSCOPES Services, immediately upon receipt. No programming by the IT department is required.

Turnkey EMSCOPES is designed for specialized libraries and departments wishing to set up a customized literature database for use in house or in the field. Designed primarily for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, the service is ideally suited for such departments as medical information, regulatory affairs, health economics, and marketing and sales. It offers access via desktop PCs as well as laptops; integrated word processor access to further customize records; networkable access at low cost; and reduction of demands on in-house staff.

Through EMSCOPES, Elsevier Science offers proven solutions for reducing turnaround time and costs associated with archiving, networking, and redistribution of data stored in in-house databases, according to the company. Subscribers receive customized database updates directly from Elsevier Science, Secondary Publishing Division, the producer of EMBASE.
