She had me at hello. I'm talking about Lorraine Monroe, PhD, who was a keynote speaker at the First Massachusetts Conference for Women last winter. I spoke there, too, and when I heard Dr. Monroe's address, I knew I wanted this brilliant educator's wit and wisdom in our magazine. Now turn to page 36 for a treat. Dr. Monroe's sneaky little ideas for nabbing more fun for yourself ("Don't make the bed-just leave a little tunnel where you slide in and slide out") will have you at hello, too.

There are many other talented contributors to this special issue of ours. Journalist Seema Nayyar did us all a favor by reporting on the next big thing in mentoring, called sponsorship, on page 68. Contributing editor Katherine Lee did a great job of capturing our cover mom, Caroline Cheng of Deloitte & Touche, profiled on page 23.
