Information Express (IE) has announced that it has added 10,000 frequently requested journal titles to its IE Online Table of Contents service. The Table of Contents service, which may be accessed on the Web at http://www.ex, enables corporate and academic institutions, as well as individual researchers, to browse and search by journal title. Users can then order the full text of any article indexed in the IE Online Table of Contents database. Currently, all document fulfillment is done via fax or mail.

The new titles, known as the Bravo Collection, provide broad coverage of more than 60 major worldwide industries, with a strong focus on health and medicine, high technology, pharmaceuticals, science, engineering, law, government, business, and management. About half of the titles are published outside the U.S. Updated daily, Bravo's coverage begins in January of 1996, and approximately 2 million articles will be added each year.

According to Bruce Antelman, president of Information Express, the Bravo Collection is composed of frequently requested journal titles that are widely read by high-tech, business, and scientific professionals. "Since we introduced the IE Online Table of Contents service in March of 1995, we've seen tremendous interest and growth in the service, especially in its alerting function, and mostly among end users," said Antelman. "As a complement to the IE Select collection, and the many custom titles added to the Table of Contents database over the last year, the Bravo Collection offers scientific and business researchers a substantive resource for identifying and ordering published articles worldwide that are relevant to their field of inquiry."

Bravo's offering includes such titles as the American Journal of Industrial Medicine, Chemical Reviews, Chinese Journal of Advanced Software Research, European Journal of Mechanical Engineering, Family Process, Graphical Models and Image Processing, Housing Studies, Journal of International Financial Management and Accounting, Library and Information Science Research, Legislative Studies Quarterly, Pharmaceutical Technology, Psychology of Learning and Motivation, Public Budgeting and Financial Management, and Research on Language and Social Interaction.

To use IE Online's Table of Contents Alerting Service, a user sets up a profile online by selecting journal titles of interest from among several topical and industry categories and then chooses one of three methods of notification (by Web, email, or both). …
