EBSCO Publishing has announced that EBSCO Canada has combined the contents of three major literary reference series with book reviews, essays, works of literary criticism, author biographies, and current periodical articles to form the new Canadian Literary Centre database. The company has also announced that the Business Source: Corporate and Biomedical Reference Collection: Corporate Edition databases have been added to EBSCOhost along with links to PubMed and The British Library.

The three reference series that comprise Canadian Literary Centre include The Annotated Bibliography of Canada's Major Authors, an eight-volume set that provides access to primary and secondary author information, complete annotations on all secondary information, an index of critics listed, and an extensive list of audiovisual materials available for an author; the Canadian Fiction Series, 32 books each referring to a major Canadian author; and Canadian Writers and Their Works, a 24-volume set organized chronologically with individual essays on 120 authors, covering both poets and fiction writers.
Other book reviews, essays, works of literary criticism, and author biographies can be found from sources such as ECW's Biographical Guide to Canadian Novelists, ECW's Biographical Guide to Canadian Poets, George Woodcock's Introduction to Canadian Fiction, George Woodcock's Introduction to Canadian Poetry, and the Canadian Biography Series. Canadian Literary Centre also contains periodical content that focuses on Canadian literature, including Essays on Canadian Writing, Books in Canada, Quill & Quire, and the University of Toronto Quarterly.
According to the announcement, Business Source: Corporate and the Biomedical Reference Collection: Corporate Edition provide unique content on a variety of subjects to satisfy the needs of business professionals, research and development groups, and any other information user in a competitive business environment.
Business Source: Corporate contains more than 2,700 full-text publications ranging from general periodicals such as Fortune, Red Herring, and Fast Company to trade publications, including American Banker, Chemical Week, and Electronic Business. It also features top management journals such as Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan Management Review, and California Management Review. Additional sources of content include country economic reports from EIU, WEFA, ICON Group, and Country Watch.
The Biomedical Reference Collection: Corporate Edition provides managers and clinical researchers in industries such as biopharmaceutical, medical device manufacturing, biogenetics, and consumer health with access to over 600 full-text journals.
