TLC Debuts SchoolLibrary*Solution, Forms New 'Schools' Division

The Library Corp. (TLC) has announced the release of SchoolLibrary-Solution, a product that integrates library automation with classroom curriculum. The company also announced that it has enhanced its support of the K- 12 public school market by creating a new Schools Division and naming Chris Laughary, a former teacher and recognized innovator in education technologies, to spearhead that unit and serve as Lead School Product Manager at TLC.

According to the announcement, SchoolLibrary-Solution is a districtwide automation product that eclipses the functionality of stand-alone approaches, thus freeing school media specialists from the maintenance responsibilities of the past. The solution provides school districts with a union catalog that's accessible via a multitude of tools, including KC Web, YouSeeMore, Circulation, Cataloging, Acquisitions, Bookings, Serials, and Public Access Catalog.
