Prostate Cancer Detection Rate Up 50%

Thanks to new diagnostic tests, doctors are finding prostate cancer 50% more often and in its earliest stages. The relative 5-year survival rate for prostate cancer, if treated in its earliest stages, is up to 99%.* This is all good news. But it takes money to treat any type of cancer.

That's why VFW sponsors cancer insurance. It pays supplemental benefits for covered treatment, including prostate, breast, lung, skin and other cancers.

VFW members can receive benefits for both in-hospital and outpatient treatment, regardless of benefits received from other insurance. Any qualified VFW member, who has never had cancer, is eligible to enroll for VFW-sponsored cancer insurance, which is available in most states.

This VFW-sponsored cancer insurance plan (Form 1-9343C) has met the requirements of national headquarters for quality coverage, fair pricing and service after the sale. It is awarded the official VFW seal of approval.

VFW-sponsored cancer insurance is underwritten by Combined Insurance Company of America. Based on financial stability and operating performance, Combined is rated A+ (Superior) by A.M. Best Co., Inc., one of the nation's leading independent insurance industry analysts.
