Public Finance has a wide readership across the public services and beyond. And this week we have extended our reach still further.

This issue of PF is being sent to our core readers plus 8,500 members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. These extra readers either work in local or central government or have public sector clients.

This is a one-off arrangement, but we hope that ICAEW members will be impressed with the magazine and take up the option of joining their institute's new public sector special interest group.

The move is part of a business relationship between CIPFA and the ICAEW, forged after their attempted merger last year.

'I'm really pleased to see this agreement being put In place,' said Steve Freer, CIPFA's chief executive. 'It reflects the very good relationships between the two institutes - we may not have quite managed the merger but there is still lots of fertile ground for collaboration and Joint working.'

ICAEW members who join the special interest group will receive a subscription to PF (published weekly), have access to CIPFA's TISonline technical information service and receive a quarterly e-newsletter providing news and developments from the public services, including information on CIPFA products, courses and events. …
