Readers review remodel diary "Diary of a Remodel: Part One" (April, page 120) is a very refreshing article. It is nice to see a typical house in San Jose. Our quaint neighborhoods deserve preservation and loving, thoughtful remodels.

I have a beef, though: I know you are trying to help your readers, but you have created a totally unrealistic timeline. Week one: The team members are interviewed, provide scope of work and fee proposals, and negotiate agreeable terms? Come on! That's three weeks or more.
