The National Film Archive of Thailand organised a Workshop on Film Preservation that took place on 4-13 July 1989, with the sponsorship of UNESCO. Harald Brandes from the Bundesarchiv in the Federal Republic of Germany and Harold Brown, advisor of the FIAF Preservation Commission, served as consultants, assisted by staff of the Thai Film Archive: Penpan Jarernporn, Dome Sukwong, Chatkwan Komoltniti, and Manee Sualek. Participants came from the National Archives of Malaysia, the State Cinematographic Company of Lao Democratic Republic, National Archives of Indonesia, Film Archive of the Philippines, the Vietnam Film Archives and the Thai Film Archive. Observers attended from the National Archives of Singapore, TV 7 and TV 5 in Thailand, Public Relations Department and the Royal Film Collection in Thailand. …
