Victor Brownlees will become director of resources at Telford & Wrekin Council in August. He will join the council from Armagh City & District Council in Northern Ireland, where he is currently clerk and chief executive.

David Archibald has recently moved to the post of principal corporate planning officer in the chief executive's department of Angus Council. Previously he was a senior auditor in the public sector department of Henderson Loggie Chartered Accountants.

Clive Grace has been appointed as chair of the Local Better Regulation Office, it has been announced by Hilary Armstrong, chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. This is the first appointment to the office, which is part of the government's drive to streamline regulation.

Karen Symonds has joined Warwickshire County Council's Supporting People team as a business and administration manager. She was previously a capital accountant at English Churches Housing Group.

Chris Woodhouse has moved within Derbyshire Council, where he had been a senior accountant, to the post of finance lead officer.

Gareth Jones, formerly a district accountant at East Cheshire NHS Trust, has joined Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Trust as a divisional accountant. …
