It was his first time on tour with a musical performer, but Greg Jamrok of Local 47 (Los Angeles) had nothing but positive anecdotes and glowing memories from his experience touring with Barbra Streisand.

JoAnn Kane Music Services, the company Jamrok works for which specializes in music preparations, was in charge of working on the musical arrangements for the tour before the orchestra met for rehearsals in Culver City, California. "We would use old arrangements or construct new ones. Sometimes we would choose songs that Barbra had never sung before," Jamrock says of his responsibilities.

Jamrok served as a copyist/librarian while on the 2006 tour, which lasted for a month and a half, ending in Los Angeles. "I was in charge of making sure everyone had the right music sheets and putting them in the correct order, since often times it would change at the last minute," he notes. Jamrok traded off with Mark Graham and Russ Bartmus, both of Local 47, throughout the tour to make sure the sound checks went smoothly. …
