B & B may not yet mean Bed & Biscuit, but these days a lot more places are welcoming people traveling with their pets

Recently, a well-known Hollywood orangutan and his trainer were looking for lodgings in San Diego, where they were making a personal appearance at Planet Hollywood. Naturally, the trainer called the venerable U.S. Grant Hotel and asked for a suite. Certainly, said the Grant. What would the orangutan like for breakfast?

You, too, could call the Grant, and it would be only too happy to accommodate you and your ape-or parrot, hamster, or gerbil. Admittedly, those requests are rare, but the Grant fields many queries from guests traveling with cats and dogs. In fact, it's gained a reputation for catering to four-legged guests. Stay at the Grant and Fido even gets his own little doggie bed and a biscuit on his pillow at night. Complimentary.
