As a result of a three-day conference on restructuring the Internet domain name system, a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering the way generic top level domains are allocated and managed has been approved by 80 organizations. The MoU calls for seven new suffixes-.firm, .store, .web, .arts, .rec, .nom, and .info-and provides for establishing 28 new registrars around the world.
