NEW HIGH-CAPACITY BATTERY-LIGHT KITS PROVIDE LONG-LIFE PORTABLE LIGHTING FOR TV, FILM CAMERAS

Four new high-capacity battery-light kits designed to provide longer-life portable lighting for TV and film cameras are available from Cine 60 Inc. One of the kits provides a 40-minute lifetime for the battery-powered light; another model provides an 80-minute lifetime.

The unit is a unique variable beamwidth battery-powered light used by TV news cameramen and documentary film makers as a "fill" light outdoors or a "key" or "fill" light indoors. The lamp head may be mounted directly on the TV or film camera or it can be held separately. Power is supplied by a nickel-cadmium battery belt worn by the user.

The new kits include: a variable-focus lamp head with removable handle, a 100-watt or 250-watt tungsten-halogen lamp (depending on model), a swingaway dichroic filter to provide proper color temperature at the turn of a knob, battery cable, slow or fast 1-hour charger (depending on model), a battery belt to power the lamp, and a portable padded carrying case.

The 30-volt, 7 ampere-hour models employ a 250-watt lamp and will operate for 40 minutes. It can also be supplied with a 350-watt lamp which will operate for 30 minutes. The 12-volt, 14 amperehour models employ a 100-watt lamp and will operate for 80 minutes.

Suggested prices of the new highcapacity battery-light kits, catalog Nos. SGK-7004, 7004FC, 7027 and 7027FC, are between $1024 and $1375, depending on the model.

TEKNO MARKETS NEW LUCALOX SINGH-RAY FILTER

Singh-Ray, the filters that are proven to stop the fluorescent green, now have a new Lucalox tungsten filter that will enable photographers to shoot under the amber-colored street lights that adorn most cities today.

The Lucalox filter is designed to expose tungsten-balanced film to highpressure sodium lamps, which includes the G. E. Lucalox lamp. These amber lights have strong energy emissions in the green, yellow and orange portion of the spectrum which cause color film to yield a similar undesirable color balance.

Lucalox filters have a factor of 1.5 and are available in standard screw-in sizes to fit any camera.

Other popular Singh-Ray filters sold by Tekno to provide the best average color balance possible include: tungsten daylight Fluorescent; Ultra Violet; and Marine; and they are compatible for both still and motion picture photography.

Singh-Ray filters may be ordered by mail from Tekno Inc., 221 W. Erie St., Chicago, IL 60610.
