From the industry leaders in digital VTRs, Sony Broadcast introduces the world's first portable composite digital VTR, the DVR-2. This latest Sony innovation conforms to the NTSC D-2 format and offers recording capability fully compatible with Sony D-2 studio type VTRs.

Compact and lightweight, the DVR-2's wide ranging applications extend from field shooting toon-airtransmission. While maintaining the highest audio/video quality that the D-2 format allows, the DVR-2 brings true portability to digital production of original tapes in the field. The system weighs only 26 lbs. 7 oz. In addition, the DVR-2's builtin playback circuitry offers complete digital processing of audio/video without the need for external equipment.

The DVR-2 provides the longest Record/Playback time ever offered in a portable VTR (94 minutes!). The unit is equipped with four digital audio channels designed to satisfy the widest range of applications. Each channel features analog input and will accept either microphone or line level. An analog cue track is also available.

Dual LCD displays offer convenient back lit function information including: Timer, Time Code, UB data, audio input levels via bar graph, error rate overload, SCH/Battery capacity bar graph indicator, tape footage, as well as menus for system control/Servo setup, menu number and name, and more. …
