Bjorn Petersen, founder and owner of Gemini Records, has been very generous to the IAJRC in providing recordings for review. In turn, this reviewer has found a wealth of talent in the Gemini catalog and therefore intends to highlight a Norwegian artist in each issue of the Journal. The artist present this time is a fine pianist, Egil Kapstad.

Obviously he has been around for some time in his native land. The booklet spells out his musical biography so I will not rehash it here. Enough to say, he has paid his dues.

This recording came to light through a one minute segment of the title tune taken from a sampler disc. "Cherokee" is taken at a very slow tempo and sounds so different this way. He does the same thing with "For All We Know" and in both cases, it is very effective. …
