This is the second compact disc by this artist to come across my desk. Please see the February issue of the IAJRC Journal, page 59 for my first review. It's quite different from the first one and the addition of a string orchestra on 6 of the 9 tunes works nicely. The strings are used in many ways, from down to a single instrument, to the sound of a modern string quartet, to a full blown string orchestra but always very intelligently. Richard DeRosa is to be commended on his talent. The addition of strings gives so much body to the arrangements. We are all familiar with various horn players working with strings but I do not know of many instances where a guitarist has used a string section. It surely isn't the norm and that is the joy of this CD, it is not just another guitar album. …
