Challenge: Manage many long-term auditing projects

Project: Integrate complex data from dispersed team members

Solution: Project Manager .NET, Tre Simpla Solutions, Clovis, California, USA.

ROI: Improved communication and streamlined processes

It just wasn't a good fit. MaxAudit Inc.'s complex and rigid software was forcing the company to change the way it dealt with its auditing projects. And a lack of integration options made it difficult for the company's dispersed team members to share information, which hindered management from seeing the big picture.

When the company implemented Project Manager .NET in August 2006, the software was up and running within minutes-and so was the project team. It found immediate help for its two major problems. A template duplication feature standardized auditing task lists across projects, allowing for process streamlining. And team members could now communicate project details to management by using an import/export feature. In addition, a clock in/clock out feature better showed how much time and cost were in fact being spent on task vs. original estimates.

"Intuitive design and the ability to quickly access and export/import valuable information were the clinchers for me," says Eric Kelbel, owner and chief auditor of MaxAudit.
