Maine writers take part in 'byline strike'

In early January, The Boston Phoenix reported that reporters and photographers in the Portland Newspaper Guild chapter at the Central Maine Morning Sentinel were not allowing the newspaper to print their names with articles or photos. The intent was to highlight the fact that they haven't had a contract since the previous one expired two years ago, and they haven't been given raises for three years.
