A lot of jazz fans have been waiting for this reissue. In 1961 the owner of The Half Note in New York City asked Bob Brookmeyer to form a band to play in his club. Bob asked for Clark Terry, but NBC, where Clark Terry was in the staff, didn't allow Terry to become just a member; so he became one of the leaders and his name came in the band's name: Clark Terry-Bob Brookmeyer Quintet. …
