NATIONAL STUDENT BRANCH

The NRPA Student Branch takes full advantage of the yearly NRPA Congress to meet other students and professionals, learn more about parks and recreation, and have a little fun. This year the branch has dedicated a committee to plan events for the Tampa Congress, and the chair, Beth Wilmarth, is organizing the unprecedented 12-person group.

Hoping to repeat the huge success from Denver, the Congress Planning Committee is teaming up with the American Park and Recreation Society to make a student pavilion in the Tampa Convention Center. Don't let the name discourage you; the pavilion is open to everyone attending Congress. It's not only a place for students to meet other students, but will also serve to let professionals interact, too. Information can be found there on all kinds of socials, events, sessions, schools, jobs, internships and more. The student pavilion would not be possible without the support of APRS. Stop by and learn a little more about students, and let the students learn a little more about you.

Members of the Student Branch are a diverse group, and not all are working on bachelor degrees. Many are graduate students, and the branch is planning on repeating the popular Graduate School Reception in Tampa. …
