With all the work we do here at American Forests, it might be easy to think that when it comes to planting trees, adults get all the work done. But AMERICAN FORESTS partner, Tree Musketeers, says differently. With their Partners for the Planet 3 x 3 Campaign, the Tree Musketeers plan to give kids around the world the help and resources they need to plant three million trees.

An ambitious project, no doubt, but one that is already well underway. In the short time since it began, the 3 x 3 Campaign has already planted over 41,000 trees, a number that grows daily.

The campaign has a dual goal. First, it wants to empower children to act on behalf of their environment. They are the future of our planet; they should be allowed and able to take care of it, and offset some of the damage that their generally well-intentioned elders have inflicted.

Secondly, the ambitious goal of three million trees will go a long way towards increasing urban forests and canopies, as well as slowing the ever-worsening development of climate change. …
