AZ*/School Psychology Assistant/Associate/Full Professor: The Division of Psychology in Education of Arizona State University's Mary Lou Fulton College of Education seeks to hire a tenure-track professor at the assistant associate or full level for its ???-accredited program in School Psychology. Arizona State University is the largest state university in the country and is situated in one of the fastest growing regions nationally. The Mary Lou Fulton College of Education has just launched its new strategic plan that recognizes the need-inspired research and service opportunities that characterize its uniquely diverse population and location in the Southwest (http://education .asu.edu/). This is an exciting opportunity for an established scholar, or a more junior individual seeking to expand his/her scholarship, teaching and service in a strong and nationally respected College of Education. Located in a livable urban/suburban area with abundant sunshine and vast recreational opportunities, the College houses a number of nationally ranked programs. The appointment begins in August, 2009. Responsibilities include teaching courses, conducting research, and supervising student research. Specific areas of research, teaching, and practice are open, although our unique location in the Southwest permits connections to indigenous and Hispanic cultures. The successful candidate might also augment or complement the research program of current faculty members, all of whom are nationally recognized leaders. The current School Psychology faculty and their interests are: Marley Watkins, Training Director (psychometrics of assessment and diagnosis), Linda Caterino (professional issues, psychopathology, counseling), David Wodrich (chronic illness in the classroom, ADHD), and George Hynd, Senior Vice Provost and Dean of the Mary Lou Fulton College of Education (neuropsychological basis of child behavior and learning problems, neuroimaging). Required qualifications are a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited School Psychology program and a record of scholarship, teaching, and securing external funding appropriate to rank. Desired qualifications are eligibility for Arizona psychology licensure, applied experience in School Psychology or related area, and evidence of potential for promoting the program's interest in diversity within a scientist/practitioner model.
