* START ANNUAL FLOWERS Plant seeds indoors now for color this summer. Droughtand heat-tolerant choices include African daisies (Arctotis and Dimorphotheca), amaranth, annual clary sage, coreopsis, dwarf morning glory, lion's tail, Mexican poppy (Araemone mexicana), and portulaca.
