Painterly Works

New pieces from master artist on view

DENVER * Collectors take note: New paintings by Quang Ho are on view at Gallery 1261 this month. A masterful painter, Ho moves with ease between the worlds of representational and abstract styles. His subject matter also stretches across genres and includes still lifes, landscapes, and figurative works. As Ho is fond of saying, visual excitement can spring up anywhere from the world around him, "from a knot on a tree, the graceful limp of a flower wilting, to a juxtaposition of a few simple shapes and colors ... inspirations are inexhaustible." Meet the artist at a reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on October 30. The show runs through November 30. For more information: 888.626.1261 or

Peace & Quiet

KETCHUM * Anne Reed Gallery presents new landscape works by John McCormick this month. Like many of today's landscape painters, McCormick has an interest in environmental issues and a concern for the fragility of the country's vanishing terrain.
