For their 8th, in what appears to be an annual occurrence, CD, the West End Jazz Band finds itself on a new label, but still rediscovering more obscure, but deserving, 1920s music many of us have grown to love so well. Picking the title of this offering from a 1929 musical starring Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell, the band opens with a six-minute medley of four tunes from the movie. But, the highlight of this CD is a tribute to Fletcher Henderson. …
