He's a retired school teacher living in Germany who just loves jazz and jazz musicians. He is also, by the way, a long time member of IAJRC. By his own admission, he's arranged for 33 tours by bands having a series of gigs in Germany. He has the habit of having the bands record at or near the end of each tour and this CD is a successful result.

'Fast Eddie' Erickson ('The Singing Moustache') is a very logical choice, for, in addition to being a good announcer, he's also a cheerleader much in the way that Chubby Jackson had been. This is not to take away from his ability as both a guitarist and banjoist and a good vocalist. He described this particular group of seven musicians as like family. That is a good way of putting it. They are a tight knit family.

The CD is subtitled 'Eddie Erickson Live with His International Swing Band'. Just look at the personnel and you find a cohesive band of Americans, Dutch, German, Finnish and Italian (by birth). …
