The Danforth Foundation has awarded WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY (ST. LOUIS) $30 MILLION to establish the John C. Danforth Center on Religion 8c Politics. The center will convene public conferences and lectures to address local, state and national issues related to religion and politics.

NASA has granted FLORIDA A&M UNIVERSITY $1 MILLION to establish the Minority Innovation Challenges Institute. The institute's purpose is to get more minority students interested in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields by using the NASA Centennial Challenges as a motivating factor.

LANGSTON UNIVERSITY'S HUD/HBCU Economic Development and Outreach Department will receive an $800,000 grant from The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for economic development in Langston and Oklahoma City.
