EBSCO Publishing unveiled two databases dedicated to the study of marine biology and oceanography: Fish, Fisheries & Aquatic Biodiversity Worldwide and Waters & Oceans Worldwide. Both databases cover extensive timeframes of research about numerous regions and bodies of water, along with information and coverage of global issues in the field of aquatic science.

Fish, Fisheries & Aquatic Biodiversity Worldwide (FFAB) focuses on research and management issues related to ichthyology, fisheries, and aquatic biology. It also features research concerning aquaculture species, propagation, and genetics and incorporates material from a variety of journals and resources, such as Fish & Fisheries Worldwide and Aquatic Biology. Waters & Oceans Worldwide (WOW) covers research and information about freshwater and marine environments, with topics ranging from marine engineering to pollution and water treatment. It also includes scientific records dating from the 1970s and before.
