What a relief!

I've kept myself awake worrying about whether I've harmed my kids by working. Are they missing out? Am I missing out? I appreciated the story "Will My Child Turn Out Okay?" in your May issue. It was good to hear how raising a child while you work can benefit the whole family.

Perfect Playdates

My son Josh recently told me that I am doing a lousy job of arranging his playdates. He's 4. And he's right. I feel so burnt-out after a week at work that the last thing I want to do is entertain wild preschoolers. Thanks for the "Guide to Great Playdates" in your April issue. I loved the part on edible entertainment since my son is a budding chef. I thank you, and my son owes you a thank you since he has a playdate set up for next weekend. I feel like a better mom already.
