Kenny Burrell is described by several jazz writers in terms of a solid swinger, melodic in approach and consistent. Duke Ellington was quoted as saying Kenny Burrell was his favorite guitarist yet the two never recorded together. Perhaps Burrell was too busy, as he's been on nearly six-hundred recording sessions for about sixty years. Not a bad track record to have.
