THE DUTCH DESIGNERS UNVEIL THEIR PARIS.

"For us, fashion is an antidote to reality," Viktor Horstin and Rolf Snoeren once said. The couturiers founded their Amsterdambased fashion house in 1993, and since 2003 they've injected plenty of whimsy into their menswear label, Monsieur. Inspired by "Hollywood stars who came to Biarritz to be glamorous," their ^os-influenced men's 2011 spring show in Paris featured boyish electro-pop singer La Roux performing in a lean suit, their signature specs, and a cravat - a wink to Viktor & Rolf themselves. 1. COLETTE

The duo adore this three-level "mother of all department stores," which houses a water-bar restaurant, revolving photo exhibits, an entire floor of fanciful accessories, and unexpected designs from famous brands and up-and-comers alike.
