Lionsgate Closes Deal to Take Toronto Premiere Rabbit Hole

Lionsgate has finalised terms with CAA to acquire North American rights to Rabbit Hole following the world premiere in Toronto on Monday [13].

Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart star in the drama about grieving parents directed by John Cameron Mitchell from David Lindsay-Abaire's adaptation of his own play. Dianne Weist and Miles Teller also star. Affinity International is handling international sales.

Lionsgate will release before the end of the year, placing Rabbit Hole firmly in the awards race. Kidman in particular has drawn strong notices and makes her producing debut alongside her Blossom Films partner Per Saari, as well as Leslie Urdang, Dean Vanech and OddLot Entertainment owner Gigi Pritzker.

Dan Revers, Bill Lischak, Linda McDonough and Affinity International head Brian O'Shea served as executive producers.

Lionsgate president of acquisitions and co-productions Jason Constantine, senior vice-president of acquisitions and co-productions Eda Kowan and executive vice-president of business and legal affairs, acquisitions and co-productions Wendy Jaffe negotiated the deal with CAA on behalf of Odd Lot, Blossom Films and Olympus Pictures. …
