In an effort to declutter my overflowing garage, I recently rented a storage unit and packed up 53 boxes of "stuff' I felt I didn't need to have at my elbow. Six of those boxes were filled with costumes. Here's a partial list of their contents.

Wigs: yellow pigtails, Marilyn Monroe, witch, hippie, pink flip.

Hats: magician, cowboy, Mickey Mouse with flashing lights, elegant lady, farmer, Peter Pan, top hat.

Kid costumes: cowboy, cowgirl, gangster, Princess Jasmine, poodle skirt, Ninja Turtle, Superman, Batman, ninja (not turtle), alien, strawberry.

Adult costumes: Roaring Twenties dress, zoot suit, nerd, nerdette, cowboy, luau, magician, hippie.

This is a very pared-down list. We just loved costumes, so we shopped the bargains the day after Halloween, picked them up at garage sales or resale shops, improvised them and made them. We wore them at parties, during playtime, to bed and, of course, on Halloween. …
