CILIP (Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals) announced that Annie Mauger will be its new chief executive.

Most recently, Mauger was acting chief executive for Bradford Action for Refugees. Previously, she was a consultant to charities and public sector groups on governance, change management, organizational development, and libraries. She was also the chief executive of the Museums, Libraries, and Archives Yorkshire until it closed and the head of libraries and heritage for the City of York Council. She has also been chair of both the Scottish and National CBLB? Community Services Group. Previously, she was an executive member of the Society of Chief Librarians. Mauger will begin her new role on Nov. 1.

Wiley-Blackwell announced the appointment of Natasha White as associate director, Open Access Marketing. In this role, she will be responsible for marketing the company's hybrid OnlineOpen journals and developing relationships with institutions and funders.

Most recently, White was marketing and sales director at BioMed Central.

Knovel announced that Richard J. Harrington is the new chairman of its board of directors.

Currently, Harrington is a general partner of Cue Ball Capital. Prior to this, he was CEO of the Thomson Corp., now Thomson Reuters. Anthony Tjan, Cue Ball Capital's managing partner and Knovel board member, will remain on as a director.

The other members of the board include Ed Barry, Chris Forbes, Li Lu, John Patrick, and Thomas Rest.

Oracle Corp. announced that Mark Hurd has joined the company as president and member of the board of directors. He will report to CEO Larry Ellison.

Most recently, Hurd was CEO at HP, where he tripled profit by cutting costs and expanding beyond the company's core business.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services announced the appointment of Justin Estoque as its new COO. In this position, Estoque will oversee the offices of finance, administration and contracting, human resources, and information technology and will serve as a member of its executive leadership team.

Most recently, he was director of the executive planning office at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI). He is on a 1-year detail from the NMAI. Since 2005, he has overseen the analysis and presentation of proposals for new exhibits and projects for NMAI. Before that, he managed NMAFs safety program. Previously, he worked with libraries and library resource centers in Washington, D. C, and in the Native American world.
