Summit Reports Roaring Trade on Ledge, Musketeers

Summit International has reported a strong response to its market slate, virtually selling out the world on the Sam Worthington thriller Man On A Ledge and 3D adventure The Three Musketeers.

The company has also enjoyed a roaring trade on J A Bayona's Thai tsunami drama The Impossible and Vendome Pictures and Mark Gordon's sci-fi thriller Source Code.

Step Up 4Ever 3D is expected to sell out soon on the back of Step Up 3D's $120m international box office.

Man On A Ledge started production for Summit and Lorenzo di Bonaventura in New York City last weekend and Summit has licensed rights to Australia (Hoyts), Spain (Aurum), Greece (Odeon), Benelux (Belga), Middle East (Jaguar), Turkey (FIDA) and Israel (United King). Summit Entertainment will release wide in 2012.

Buyers watched footage of The Three Musketeers, which Paul W S Anderson is currently shooting in Germany in 3D using the PACE system. "This has been phenomenal for us," Summit president and co-chairman Patrick Wachsberger said. …
