Celluloid Nightmares, Mongrel Media Close Three-Film Deal

Deals closed at AFM for Canadian rights to Jon Hewitt's X, Fernando Barreda Luna's Atrocious and The Orozco Brothers' Greetings To The Devil. All three films are targeting festival premieres in early 2011.

"These three titles are perfect for us - they are smart, well made and cutting edge," Mongrel Media director of home entertainment Andrew Frank said. "We are thrilled to partner with Celluloid Nightmares to bring these films to Canada."

Nate Bolotin of Celluloid Nightmares and XYZ films added: "We've had a good association with Mongrel to date and these three films only reinforce our belief they are a perfect partner for elevated genre releases in the Canadian marketplace."

X stars Viva Bianca, Hanna Mangan and Rowan Witt in the story of a world-weary call girl and a runaway whose paths cross in a single terrifying night after they fall foul of Sydney's criminal underworld. …
