Donald Harrison is a native of New Orleans, but this CD is more than just about going back to his roots. He describes his playing as in the nouveau swing style: a mixture of swing, rhythm and blues, hip hop and even some Latin music. The result is that you do not always get what you expect.

He takes the three well known songs (If I Were a Bell, Caravan and They Can't Take That Away from Me) without too many surprises. …
