Since January, two Hankamer faculty taught as visiting professors at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) in Mexico, and two ITESM faculty taught at Baylor.

In April, Hector Viscencio, who is professor of managerial economics and financial analysis in the Graduate Business School and director of the Center for International Competitiveness at ITESM, met graduate economics classes at Hankamer. He used several active learning techniques that included case studies introducing students to the Mexican political environment and how it affects the country's economic decisions, and he gave them an exercise with ambiguous statements that pitted economic science against economic reality.

In April also, Charles S. Madden, the Ben Williams Professor of Marketing, taught graduate and undergraduate classes in marketing strategy and services marketing at ITESM. [In July, Madden was a visiting professor in the MBA program of the Helsinki School of Economics in Finland where he taught a course in marketing services. …
