Spending Review figures questioned

Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson and Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness are seeking to have the nation's Spending Review settlement amended. They said reduced capital allocations would have a 'devastating effect' on the local economy. Swinney apologises to Holyrood

Scotland's Finance Secretary John Swinney has apologised for failing to inform MSPs of a decision that allowed Holyrood's 'tartan tax' powers to lapse.
