Western Landscape Exhibit

This month the Denver Art Museum celebrates nearly 20 years of collecting contemporary western art with a new exhibition, Western Horizons: Landscapes from the Contemporary Realism Collection. The show examines the American West through the eyes of artists working today. It spotlights 25 paintings that represent a variety of visual approaches to the terrain, including works that capture unspoiled, wide-open spaces as well as scenes touched by man. Chuck Foreman, Keith Jacobshagen, Len Chmiel, Daniel Morper, and T Allen Lawson are among the featured artists. The paintings were purchased with funds raised by the museum's Contemporary Realism Group. The exhibit is on view through August 28. For more information: 720.865.5000 or
