DR. JEAN HERNÁNDEZ has been named president of Edmonds Community College (Wash.). She was most recently vice president for instruction at South Seattle Community College. Hernández holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of North Texas and a doctorate from the University of Washington.

DR. WILLIAM MCDADE has been appointed deputy provost for research and minority issues at the University of Chicago's Pritzker School of Medicine. McDade is currently associate dean for multicultural affairs at Pritzker. He earned a bachelor's from DePaul University, a doctorate from UC and medical degree from Pritzker.

LOIS DELOATCH has been appointed vice chancellor for institutional advancement at North Carolina Central University. She had most recently been associate director of corporate and foundation relations at Duke University. Deloatch holds a bachelor's from the University of North CarolinaChapel Hill and a master's from Duke.

Seton Hall University (N.J.) has appointed DR. A. GABRIEL ESTEBAN president. He had been serving in an interim capacity. Esteban earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of the Philippines, a master's from Chaminade University and a doctorate from the University of California-Irvine. …
