AT&T, Magnolia Team Up for SXSW Doc Conan O'Brien Can't Stop

AT&T becomes p&a and multi-platform distribution and marketing partner alongside Richard Abramowitz's theatrical pipeline Abramorama as Magnolia Home Entertainment takes remaining VOD and home entertainment rights for the new documentary Conan O'Brien Can't Stop.

AT&T will preview the documentary to its AT&T U-verse TV subscribers on the eve of the theatrical release of the film, which premiered at SXSW in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.

Liesl Copland of WME Global negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers with Brent Imai and Richard Wellerstein at AT&T, Abramowitz for Abramorama, and Tom Quinn at Magnolia Home Entertainment.

Conan O'Brien Can't Stop chronicles the talk show host's nationwide comedy tour after he left NBC in a much-publicised move last year following a 22-year tenure at the network. Rodman Flender directed.

"For a film like ours, and with Conan at its centre, it was imperative that we not follow typical business models in the release of this film," the film's two producers Gavin Polone and Rachel Griffin said. …
