This year's Varsity match between Oxford and Cambridge, sponsored by Henry Mutkin, and held at the RAC Pall Mall earlier this month, resulted in a one-point win for Oxford, who have now reduced their deficit since 1873, when the contest was first held, to a mere three matches.
