Barbara Rosene has expanded her musical horizons. Following her Stomp Off CD, It Was Only A Sun Shower, which received a rave review in these pages a year ago, she has brought herself out of the '20s and '30s with wonderful results. I had the chance to see Barbara on tour with the Fred Radke directed Harry James band earlier this year and she wowed the audiences with her performances of some of Harry's old standards, originally popularized by Helen Forrest and Kitty Kallen, in addition to singing some newer material. Now, she has moved forward to a more contemporary setting and the results are fabulous! …
