This alto jazz singer, originally from Cambridge, Massachusetts, has given us quite a gift. First of all, most of the tunes haven't been already recorded to death. Secondly, her accompaniment, while unknown to me, do a great job. The third reason is her talent for timing, wide range and delightful diction.

Diane Hoffman has had a dual career as both an artist and a jazz singer, and both have held sway at different times in her life. The booklet features some of her art, but isn't very informative as to the biographies of the various musicians. Piano, bass and drums are on all tracks but the rest are not.
