K5 Saddles Up for Box-Office Hit Buck

K5 International has taken on international rights to Sundance Audience Award-winning documentary Buck.

Carl Clifton and Daniel Baur negotiated the deal for K5 and Josh Braun of Submarine Entertainment on behalf of the filmmakers.

Madman has taken on Australian and New Zealand rights.

Deals are expected imminently for the UK and other European territories.

Cindy Meehl's film has already been a box-office hit in the US, taking nearly $4m on release from IFC.

The film profiles Buck Brannaman (the inspiration for The Horse Whisperer), who overcame his tough childhood to developing an exceptional ability to tommunicate with troubled horses.
