Quiet Revolution, Fobic Films to Co-Produce Enthoven's Winnipeg

Belgian director Geoffrey Enthoven's dark comedy Winnipeg, will be an English language Canada/Belgium co-production

Mariano Vanhoof, Enthoven's partner in his Ghent-based production house Fobic Films, signed a development and production deal with veteran Canadian producer Michael A. Dobbin of Quiet Revolution Pictures during the second edition of the Producers Lab Toronto (PLT) at this week's Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Set in Belgium and Canada, Winnipeg is a twisted tale of a hotel owner from Bruges who heads to Canada to break the heart of his deceased twin brother's wealthy flame with whom he had an affair on a cruise ship 20 years previously. Intent on seeking revenge on his dead brother who ran off with his wife, he soon uncovers that the Canadian heiress has her own menacing agenda.

The English-language project is being developed and packaged for production scheduled to begin during 2013. …
